Picking the question is the best way to find the information you seek. That is a given. Kind of. Sometimes, no matter the question, you will find answers you are not looking for. That is the case in this onion, and I am unpeeling.

The articles I was looking for had to do with Marcos’ love for Bagong Pilipinas (enclosed herein). The question I was looking to answer, and am still working on, is “Is Marcos Jr. Playing the People of the Philippines, with the unwitting help of the Chinese Communist, to establish marchel law like his father did and elevate himself as President in Perpeutitity?” As of this point, I am still deciding whether to touch on that one. I remain skeptical of my predictive analysis that the Philippines is on a defcon setting of “Cover Your Ass.”
I did not get the answer to that one. However, I did begin and end an interesting chase down the rabbit hole regarding Marcos’ and the current Filipino administration’s courtship with an economic quagmire. The gist is that something akin to pissing off China will cause the Philippines to lose the rich investments coming out of China. The Global Times published this story on April 14, 2024, and Aljazeera on the previous day, April 13, 2024. They also show that someone did not do their homework. A month earlier, Satista realeased the following information: Germany, The Netherlands, Japan, Singapore, the Cayman Islands, and the USA are the top investors in the Philippines, with Germany being the largest investor. China did not even come close.
The conclusion is that there is no reason coming from the private sector that the Philippines should kiss China’s ass, to put it extremely bluntly.
