Shots Fired

Shots were fired at a Trump political rally in Pennsylvania this morning BayBay City, Layte, Philippines’ time (evening USA). We have confirmation at this point (and details can change as the story is still fluid) of the shooter being neutralized with extreme prejudice by the US Secret Service but no information on who they are. We also have a report of one other person in the bleachers behind the former president being injured. While still conscious, but bleeding from his right ear, Former President Trump was speed away from the fair grounds where the rally was taking place, and the remainder of the crowd was detained. That’s what we know now.

President Biden is in touch with federal authorities as the investigation begins. He has also put in a call to Former President Trump, but the former president, with his medical staff, was not available at this time.

Unfortunately every few years this happens. I remember JFK, MLK, Bobby Kennedy, George Wallace, and Ronald Reagan (the latter being an outer layer as it was not exactly political in nature).

As Joe Biden just said, it is unacceptable in American Politics. It happens. It happens far too often. However, it is not acceptable.
