The Spark in the Bell Jar

Writing is like putting together a puzzle, or painting a picture with words. It is like crafting pictures of things which don’t exist, and can never exist except in the mind. It is akin to writing a human code to pass from one person to another ideas which may come to pass on some future which is centuries if not decades away. It is allowing the spark of an idea to be captured in a bell jar and brightly held in that bell jar for a hundred years until someone comes along to use that spark to light up another jar, and from the two something far more brighter, and joyous flashes like a firework on New Year’s day. It is creating out of the nothingness of pure thought. Once created held up for review, and examination, while saying this is mine. That, dear reader, is why I keep writing even though I’ll never be paid for the writing I have done. It is pure creativity even if forever unrewarded.
