While looking through the listings on HauntedPlaces.Org I found this little not surprising item concerning Meskwaki Bingo Casino and Hotel. It would seem that people have decided it is haunted.
It is not surprising because hotels are just haunted. They are passively haunted, or a feeling of being ill at ease, and sensing a presence. They might be actively haunted, ranging from the proverbial bump in the night, to the shining.
What is surprising is that others picked up on the hauntings at the Casino Hotel. Usually these things are the little secret of a few who are reluctant to share publicly.
What I picked up there, was not a strange bump in the night, a couple fight, or even Slimer.
What I picked up was an amazed energy bubble of happy, fun energy from all the people who had gone up and down the halls over many years enjoying the games of chance and plenty of food.
Is this any surprise? Really? A hotel is a public place, a casino attracts a lot of people. People leave energy as they emote, that gets imprinted as psi energy. Those who are sensitive to it pick up on it.
Now that I’ve checked that, going to a casino, and joyfully throwing away some money, off my bucket list, as soon as this COVID-19 danger is abated we will explore other haunts.
While looking into the site SEO (Search Engine Optimization), having nothing better to do after spending the last eight hours fixing other people’s websites, I came across an article in The Gazette (Cedar Rapids’ Newspaper) , called “Ghost hunt precedes Abbe Center demolition.” It is dated May 14, 2015.
The story is about Greg Reisener, Jim Mihm, Sandy Goodson, Phineas Fuhrmeister, and Whitney Ryan from Johnson County. It is about this team’s exploration of the, now demolished, Abbe Center “off Highway 13 and County Home Road.”
One of the best points early in the story is where John Mihm shares his impression of Ghost Hunters on Animal Planet.
John Mihm says, “Just sit down and stay quiet and open your ears and eyes.” That is the best way to see what is there as a true scientist. Science, exploration, documentation and knowledge is the driving force. As I said some people can sense this, like people who are not colorblind, and some people cannot, like those who are colorblind. Some of us just want to know.
