I’m not clairvoyant, and the events of 9/11 were a horrific tragedy. The day before, I happened to have a conversation with my chiropractor about the growing tensions in the world. It felt like a crisis was brewing, and we both worried about the lack of clarity in the situation.

In 2006, I explored the influence of the Religious Right in the United States. Inspired by Kevin Phillips’ work, I delved deeper into the theological underpinnings of the movement to merge Christianity with politics. This trend, which I identified as Christian Nationalism, is having a significant impact on American society. This rise in Christian Nationalism is driving social changes in areas like (e.g., education, healthcare).

In 2007, while writing a major project for my 50th birthday, I analyzed the state of the United States and the factors that led us to that particular moment. My analysis identified signs of economic strain. This, of course, coincided with the start of the Great Recession that same year. The Great Recession’s impact continues to be felt today.

Here in the Philippines, 2024, we’re facing a critical situation with China’s presence in our territory. The situation feels eerily like a looming disaster, and I believe my observations and suggestions deserve serious consideration.
