Yesterday, we published two articles urging the people of the Philippines, especially those we can reach, to commit to getting fit. Most Filipinos don’t need encouragement to exercise, as their daily jobs often necessitate physical activity. However, many leaders, office workers, teachers, doctors, lawyers, and politicians could benefit from improving their fitness.
This is not a call to fear the future; rather, it is a call to embrace a future of health and vitality, especially for those of a certain age. Many of you have faced military actions as civilians, which I can only imagine is frightening, especially for children. Unfortunately, it seems that China is intent on pursuing conflict, and the current Filipino administration is delaying this as long as possible. It’s not a question of if war will come to the Philippines, but when. Most observers are aware of this reality.
Why is this the case? First, China is occupying Filipino waters and aggressively blocking any official traffic from the Philippine government. Second, the strategic location of the Philippines obstructs China’s efforts to blockade Taiwan. Our geographic position is significant, as we stand in China’s way, and our alliance with the USA is crucial because China has shown a lack of respect for their business agreements—something that is becoming evident in Africa as well.
This is why I encourage everyone to download a good physical fitness app on their phones and exercise daily. The tools are readily available. If you need suggestions, feel free to ask; we can help point you in the right direction.
