Six months. That’s all it took.
Six months for the final threads holding the illusion of democracy to unravel in full view, while America tuned in, scrolled past, and shrugged.
Trump is back on the rally circuit, not campaigning—threatening. Promising retribution. Openly hinting at violence if he doesn’t win, or if the courts don’t bow. His followers cheer. The press calls it “rhetoric.”
Project 2025, a fascist blueprint funded by the Heritage Foundation, is no longer hiding in white papers. It’s on Fox News. It’s on TikTok. It’s being normalized, explained, marketed—like a new smartphone OS, but this one deletes civil liberties on install.
Then came the Supreme Court. They handed down the decision that presidents—at least one president—can act with impunity. No criminal liability for “official acts.” Translation: if Trump orders the assassination of political enemies, it’s not a crime. It’s just policy.
And the Democrats? Nothing. Biden mumbles through another fundraising dinner. Schumer checks the temperature of the Senate cafeteria. Pelosi tweets about bipartisanship while fascism marches forward unopposed. Not one of them will say fascism. Not one of them will say Trump is a dictator in waiting.
And now, Elon Musk—tech oligarch, apartheid heir, X-tremist troll—wants to be a kingmaker. Or maybe a king. His so-called “American Party” is the most dangerous cosplay yet. He’s laundering fascism through memes, middle fingers, and Mars rockets. Don’t be fooled. This is soft-techno fascism, wrapped in libertarian buzzwords and sold to disillusioned 30-somethings who just want to feel smarter than everyone else.
This isn’t politics anymore. It’s a bloodless coup.
And it’s working.
