It's a Newspaper's Job to Print News and Raise Hell

Our Editor-in-Chief

Cliff Potts — Firebat, Fighter, and Founder of WPS.New

Dr. Potts, WPS News, Editor-in-Chief

In a world of curated headlines and manufactured outrage, Cliff Potts burns hotter than ever—Editor-in-Chief of WPS.News, class-war survivor, truth-teller, and one-man resistance unit with a doctorate in metaphysics and a fistful of receipts.

This isn’t some influencer’s vanity project. Cliff’s been doing this the hard way since 2004, through wars, recessions, censorship, and silence.

  • The Bush Wars? They cost him his health and his family.
  • The Clinton-Bush tech collapse of 2000–2001? It destroyed his career in telecommunications and network systems. Those jobs never came back without expensive certs and careerist brown-nosing.

Cliff trained in radio broadcasting and worked at KLIF in Dallas, but the media grind paid less than guarding buildings at night. So he took the job that paid—and kept telling the truth anyway.

Cliff is no victim. He’s a firebat: built to survive, armed to resist, and hell-bent on burning lies to the ground.

Journalism with Teeth

His inspirations?

  • Mike Royko, Chicago’s working-class moral compass
  • Carl Kolchak, the monster-hunting street journalist from The Night Stalker

WPS.News is built in their tradition. No ads. No bosses. No corporate leash. Cliff’s archive is stacked with censored videos, hard warnings, and proof the collapse we’re in wasn’t a bug—it was a feature of the system.

Metaphysics Meets Mayhem

Cliff holds a doctorate in metaphysics, and his thesis became a book—SpiritFlight, available on Amazon. It’s part spiritual roadmap, part battle cry.
