Tacloban, Leyte — September 3, 2025

At 05:15 PhST on September 3, 2025, the light of my life, Luz Casil Potts, died of breast cancer at Eastern Visayas Medical Center in Tacloban, Leyte. She was my wife, my one, my everything.

For nearly two years, from the day we married on October 10, 2023, until her final breath, Luz showed me a love so deep I never knew it existed until her. With her, I discovered what it meant to belong completely. Without her, I now carry an emptiness that words cannot fill.

The sting of death is not in her passing—it is in the living without her. Each day now feels like a wound that does not close. Part of me died with Luz, and no amount of time will erase that truth.

The world has a habit of forgetting. Headlines fade. Stories pass. But I will not forget. I will speak her name again and again. I will not let her vanish into silence.

Luz is more than a memory. She is my fight, my witness, my proof that love is stronger than death. She should still be here.

Never forget.

This article is dedicated to Luz, with love beyond words.
