When the world was quiet, and the storms had ceased,
In the stillness of the waters, our love was released.
Like the dove from the ark, yearning for land,
I sent out my heart, searching for your hand.
The heavens, once heavy, with rain did descend,
But even in chaos, our spirits would mend.
We weathered the tempests, the darkest of nights,
And from the remnants of struggle, we found our true lights.
As the waters receded, and the earth dried anew,
So too did my longing, returning to you.
In the shadows of sorrow, we built our own grace,
Each moment a treasure, each embrace a safe place.
Look there! In the distance, the rainbow appears,
A promise of beauty, of joy through the tears.
Just like the covenant, our hearts intertwined,
A testament of love, forever designed.
You are my refuge, my peace after rain,
A melody sweet, like a soft, sweet refrain.
In the garden of hope, where the flowers now bloom,
We dance in the sunlight, dispelling the gloom.
Together we rise, from the depths of despair,
With a love that’s as strong as the thundering air.
For every tempest that tries to come between,
We find our salvation in the spaces unseen.
So here’s to our journey, through storms and through strife,
To the blessings we harvest, the beauty of life.
In the story of us, like the ark’s gentle sway,
Love is our anchor, guiding each day.
