A Gentle Warning, Delivered Politely

From time to time, users may be reminded that certain behaviors are discouraged. Sending too many friend requests. Connecting with people one does not actually know. Acting in ways that appear unfamiliar, excessive, or unsanctioned.

These reminders are framed as guidance. Best practices. Suggestions meant to keep the community safe, orderly, and pleasant for everyone involved.

Encouragement, With Conditions

At the same time, the platform enthusiastically recommends new connections. Faces appear. Names are offered. Mutual contacts are implied. The invitation is warm, confident, and persistent.

Users are encouraged to grow their networks, expand their reach, and reconnect broadly — provided they do so correctly, quietly, and without triggering the wrong internal threshold.

Responsibility Without Clarity

The distinction between acceptable and unacceptable behavior is not explained. The same action may be welcomed one moment and penalized the next.

When consequences arrive, they do so impersonally. Restrictions are applied. Access is limited. Appeals are rare and explanations are minimal.

The rules remain friendly. The enforcement remains firm.

A Polite Observation

One might ask whether guidance is useful when its boundaries are invisible. Whether encouragement functions properly when paired with punishment for acting on it.

These are subtle matters. The platform prefers simplicity.

After all, the rules are clear enough. Until they aren’t.
